Cradle Song

In 19th-century Spain, a group of nuns gets a surprise when a baby girl is abandoned at their convent. The sisters rise to the occasion and decide to raise the infant, who is given the name Teresa (Maribel Verdú). As the orphaned girl grows older, she starts to develop romantic longings that are fulfilled when she meets Pablo (Carmelo Gomez). Their union forces Teresa to leave the women who cared for her, women who never thought they'd have to face the joys -- and pain -- of motherhood.
