Dynamite

In order to receive the inheritance left by her grandfather, society girl Cynthia Crothers (Kay Johnson) must marry miner Hagon Derek (Charles Bickford), despite being in love with another miner, married Roger Towne (Conrad Nagel). Hagon, who's been convicted of murder and is sentenced to be executed, is abruptly cleared of the crime and marries Cynthia. Although Cynthia tries to be a good wife, she continues seeing Roger -- until the couple and Hagon find themselves in an unexpected disaster.
