Dark Oracle

Twin siblings Lance and Cally Stone discover the Dark Oracle a mysterious comic book that gives them clues about their future. They soon find out they are linked to the comic's main characters - another set of twins, Violet and Blaze, who represent the dark uncensored side of Cally and Lance.

The comic book is back! Lance (Alex House) finds it under his mousepad and he's horrified to discover that it predicts a very nasty end for him. After Cally (Paula Brancati) complains of sleepless nights and a math test that's stressing her out, Lance makes the difficult decision not to tell her about his discovery. Things start to look up when a strange kid, Vern (David Rendall), overhears Lance giving his buddy Dizzy (Jonathan Malen) some gaming tips. Impressed, Vern dazzles Lance with stories about an underground live-action gaming group, then flatters him by inviting him to join. Lance struggles with the decision alone, not wanting to end up like Blaze does in the comic, but curious and thrilled to be recognized for his gaming talent. Ultimately, he decides to go and join Vern and his shady friends, and finds himself caught up in a midnight graveyard initiation that almost costs him his life.

The comic book predicts a romance between Violet and the Hunk, the comic counterpart of Jack (Jack Manchester), and Cally (Paula Brancati) couldn't be happier. At last a prediction she can live with. While Cally remains starry-eyed Lance (Alex House) goes into research mode and starts to make connections between the comic and Gamerz Cave. Especially when an Ankh sign on a door featured in the comic is identical to one he discovers on the door to Doyle's back room. Helping Sage (Danielle Miller) out by working her shift at Gamerz, Lance finds himself trapped in the back room, witnessing Doyle (Mark Ellis) lead members of a mysterious secret society in a very weird ceremony. Meanwhile, despite her feelings for him, Cally helps Jack sort out problems with his girlfriend but when the comic book and real world collide, Cally sees a side of Jack that she wasn't prepared for.

"Dark Oracle" predicts a massive gang war and both Cally (Paula Brancati) and Lance (Alex House) are on edge, not knowing when or how it's going to hit. Between his worries about the comic book, and his escalating crush on Sage (Danielle Miller), Lance needs to let off some steam, and does so the only way he knows how: by dancing around his room in his underwear, while wielding a giant plastic axe. This private embarrassing moment would have remained just that - private - if it hadn't been for Dizzy's video camera secretly taping the whole thing. When Vern (David Rendall) gets a hold of Dizzy's camera, the whole school is able to watch and make fun of Lance, jumping around his bedroom in his boxers. Lance is humiliated. He feels that this has ruined his chances with Sage and he blames Dizzy (Jonathan Malen) for showing the video to Vern in the first place.

Cally (Paula Brancati) has been selected to run the grade ten fashion show, but when "Dark Oracle" predicts the show will be a disaster, all her excitement disappears. In a desperate attempt to thwart Violet, Cally comes up with a plan she thinks is foolproof. She'll do the opposite of whatever Violet does, and therefore she'll get the opposite result. Violet's show will be a disaster, but Cally's will be a success. Despite Cally's failsafe logic, things do not go quite as planned. The models get frustrated with Cally, when she seems to constantly be changing her mind. Annie (Barbara Mamabolo), who has promised to help, feels that Cally is being an impossible primadonna. At the eleventh hour, almost all of the models drop out, leaving Cally with a few hours to pull her show together. Meanwhile, Sage (Danielle Miller) is struggling to face up to a gang of bullies who are terrorizing her at school.

A scavenger hunt is on at school and teams of two are competing for the top prize. Cally (Paula Brancati) feels her victory is assured, since "Dark Oracle" predicts it that way, and Lance (Alex House) desperately wants to win so that he can impress Sage (Danielle Miller), and finally ask her to be his girlfriend. A whirlwind ensues as the kids run around town, trying desperately to beat each other to the prize. In a strange twist, the comic book predicts Blaze and Violet going on a shoplifting spree, and the items they steal wind up being clues from the real scavenger hunt. As Cally and Lance fight over the comic, Annie (Barbara Mamabolo) grows suspicious and Sage struggles with crank phone calls from an anonymous caller. Things take a turn for the worse when Lance realizes that the strange caller is Violet! In the end, Lance must decide how much like Blaze he's willing to be. Will he steal to win the scavenger hunt and impress Sage?
