Episode 1b

The "investment club" consists of only the top student from each of the 6 grades. Their annual goal is to yield a profit of 8% from a capital of 300-billion yen. As the top student of his grade, Zaizen Takashi is forced to join the investment club over playing on the baseball team. His first task at hand in the club is to invest 10-billion yen.

"Investment is not about study, it's about getting the hang of it." Or so the club captain Kamishiro said. Zaizen, still clueless as how he will invest his 10-billion yen, begins his move by purchasing shares of "Game Crazy."

Zaizen attempts to purchase 3-billion yen worth of "Game Crazy," but is stopped by the vice-captain Watanabe. Watanabe then orders Tsukihama to teach Zaizen how to invest. Zaizen repeats that "inveestment is not about study," but is advised to come up with a stategy by Kamishiro.

"Money is people. People are money." "Listen to the voice of money." These are the two phrases set Zaizen off on his journey through the history of money and civilizations.

Zen-san speaks about the new club member to Mr. Fujita, a member of the school founder's foundation, who is shaken upon hearing Zaizen's name. On the otherhand, Zaizen continues his exploration of the history of money through the Age of Discovery, fiancing, and banking.
