Sandokan, the leader of the pirates of Mompracem, receives a crucial tip-off that might lead him to a sworn enemy whom he has been searching for a long time.

An intense attack by Rajah's men destroys the pirate ship and leaves Sandokan in troubled waters. Meanwhile, almost all his friends manage to escape unharmed.

An injured Sandokan winds up at Lord James's residence and meets the love of his life, Mariana. However, he keeps his true identity a secret to avoid any trouble.

Unaware that Lord James and Baron William are onto him, Sandokan spends time with Mariana. However, before anyone can get to him, he manages to run away from the mansion.

The pirates are delighted to have Sandokan back at a time when all hope seemed lost. After telling them all about his struggles and love for Mariana, he decides to sail to Labuan and rescue her.

After getting away from Rajah's soldiers, Sandokan and Yañez sail their damaged ships toward Pangutarang to have them repaired. On their way, they run into the Dayakos, a clan they should have avoided at all costs.
