David Paetkau

David Paetkau is best known for his work in action and horror films. He got his start with a small role in the 1998 thriller "Disturbing Behavior" which, though not terribly successful at the box office, allowed him to work with future stars Katie Holmes and James Marsden. Paetkau's first recurring role came as Hunter on the coming-of-age TV drama "Just Deal" in 2000. After a breakout role in the chilling "Bang Bang You're Dead," about violence in high school, he co-starred in the second installment of the popular "Final Destination" horror series as an ill-fated lottery winner. In 2006, Paetkau landed another co-starring role, in the Canadian thriller series "Whistler" as Beck McKaye, a snowboarder who is murdered. He remained involved in Canadian television with the 2008 action series "Flashpoint," which was aired on CBS after a positive reception in Canada. Further solidifying his reputation as a talented action star, Paetkau appeared in the 2007 crossover franchise "AVPR: Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem." Paetkau's next film, the 2008 romantic comedy "For Heaven's Sake," marked a departure from his action-film roots.
