Jonathan Scarfe

Canadian TV and film actor Jonathan Scarfe began his career as sandy-haired high school student R.J. Winslow on the 1990s teen drama series "Madison." Scarfe, the Toronto-born son of actors Alan Scarfe and Sara Botsford, apprenticed at the prestigious Stratford Shakespeare Festival before landing his first small roles on TV in the early '90s. After a two-year stint on "Madison," Scarfe appeared in a slew of made-for-TV biopics, including "Breaking the Surface: The Greg Louganis Story" (1997) and "The Sheldon Kennedy Story" (1999). But it was his recurring role as Chase Carter, the drug-abusing cousin of Dr. John Carter on the popular hospital drama "ER" that grabbed the attention of American TV audiences. Scarfe continued to earn praise for his performances on both Canadian and American dramas in the 2000s, most notably as a cast member of the acclaimed courtroom drama "Raising the Bar." In 2012, he garnered another high-profile TV part on the crime series "Perception," starring Eric McCormack and Rachael Leigh Cook.
