Alice Taglioni

If she hadn't decided to become an actress, Alice Taglioni might well be enjoying a musical career right now, since she initially trained as a pianist. But after taking a theater course to overcome her shyness, it wasn't long before she was bitten by the acting bug. The blonde actress, has mainly appeared in French movies such as 2002's "La Bande du Drugstore," a romantic drama co-starring Mathieu Simonet, which was her big screen debut; the 2004 college-set drama "Grande Ecole"; and action-adventure "Sky Fighters" in 2005. However, fans of more mainstream movies may recognise her from her brief appearance in the 2006 remake of "The Pink Panther," in which Steve Martin took over from where Peter Sellers left off in the role of hapless detective Inspector Clouseau. On a personal level, Taglioni had to deal with tragedy when her actor boyfriend Jocelyn Quivrin ñ- who had a supporting role in the Oscar-winning thriller "Syriana" -- was killed in a car accident in November 2009, just eight months after the birth of their son, Charlie. Taglioni and Quivrin met when they played opposite each other in "Grand Ecole," and they had been together for four years at the time of his death.
