Luciana Pedraza

Born in Salta, Argentina, Luciana (Pedraza) Duvall graduated from the University of Buenos Aires with the equivalent of an MBA and a minor in English. In 1996, while working as a marketing director, she approached a man on the street in Buenos Aires to invite him to a party. Although she didn't know it at the time, the man was actor Robert Duvall. The two began a romantic relationship and in 2001 formed The Robert Duvall Children's Fund, which benefitted impoverished children and families in Northern Argentina. In 2002, she starred in the film "Assassination Tango," which Duvall starred in, wrote, directed, and produced. Pedraza wrote and directed a short film of her own, called "Portrait of Billy Joe" (2004), the documentary told the story of the hard life and perseverance of Texas songwriter Billy Joe Shaver. In 2005, Duvall and Pedraza were married. She focused more on the Children's Fund as it expanded beyond Argentina. She also took a supporting role in "Wild Horses" (2015). Again written, directed, starring, and produced by her husband, the film focuses on an aging Texas rancher who reopens an investigation into a missing-persons case.
