Michael Prupas

Canadian producer Michael Prupas has packed a remarkable amount of activity into his full decade of film and TV work. An early milestone was the 1999-'01 TV series "Twice in a Lifetime," built around the premise of dead souls being allowed to revisit a pivotal point in their lives and "convince" their younger selves to make a different, better decision--Prupas was executive producer during that period. At the tail end of the decade, he was attached to a more controversial effort, the mini-series "The Kennedys," starring Greg Kinnear and Katie Holmes. After it was dropped by the History Channel for being too controversial, the eight-part look at Camelot was rescued for 2011 airing on ReelzChannel. Prupas has worked on several other mini-series, including "The Pillars of the Earth," the '10 Ken Follett adaptation, and dozens of TV movies, ranging from yet another version of "The Hound of the Baskervilles" to the provocatively titled "High Plains Invaders."
