Ritesh Rajan

Indian-American actor Ritesh Rajan found substantial work and a following in science fiction-themed projects like "Stitchers" (ABC Family/Freeform, 2015-) and as a voice actor on "Star Wars Rebels" (Disney XD, 2014-). Born in White Plains, New York, he was the second of three children born to Indian parents. He pursued an education in the performing arts as a student of both the Tisch School of the Arts and the Stella Adler Studio of Acting; to support himself, he performed with NYU Pandemonium, a dance group that blended hip-hop with traditional Bhangra movements. After making his film debut behind the scenes as an office assistant on M. Night Shyamalan's "The Happening" (2008), Rajan began landing guest roles in television series like "Law & Order" (NBC, 1990-2010) and minor turns in features like Shyamalan's "The Last Airbender" (2010). He broke into the spotlight in 2015 with a series regular role as socially awkward bioengineer Linus Ahluwalia on the ABC Family/Freeform series "Stitchers." This was followed by a brief but significant turn as Mowgli's father in Jon Favreau's live-action version of "The Jungle Book" (2016) and as the voice of Tristan Wren, an Imperial loyalist and the brother of female lead character Sabine Wren on "Star Wars Rebels."
