Lucía brings her husband, Rosendo, to the doctor, who diagnoses him with Alzheimer's disease; Rosendo's family rallies behind him by forming a mariachi band to help delay the disease's progression.

As Lucía and Gavilán begin to butt heads, Rosendo struggles to remember the root of their deep-seated tension; ahead of their first mariachi gig, Jorge's excitement turns to panic when he learns more about the performance.

Pressured by the debt he owes to Malaka, Gavilán publicizes Rosendo's illness in hopes of drumming up sympathy; as Cristina recovers from the startling revelation of her latest work call, the Cuevas family grapples with Gavilán's exposé.
