In 1980s Hong Kong, amidst triad chaos and police corruption, university student He Chu San (He Chang Xi) is forced into money laundering by a notorious gang. He crosses paths with the brutal yet charismatic enforcer Xia Liu Yi (He Yan Zhao), who later becomes the gang's leader. Despite his revulsion for the underworld, Chu San finds himself drawn to Liu Yi, and as their bond deepens, Chu San becomes a bright light in Liu Yi's life, reminding him of what things could be outside of the gang. However, Liu Yi is consumed by a quest for revenge for his adoptive father, the Azure Dragon. Desperate to save Liu Yi from himself, Chu San strives to find a way to legitimize the gang's operations – but is he too late? This drama was adapted from the web novel of the same name by She Xie Dian Dian.
