A Lesson in Love

In this early Ingmar Bergman comedy, David (Gunnar Björnstrand), an obstetrician, and Marianne (Eva Dahlbeck), a former model, have begun to drift away from each other after 15 years of marriage. While David has a fling with a patient, Marianne has an affair with an old lover, and it seems as though the pair's relationship may be ending. However, when David and Marianne find themselves stuck on the same train together by coincidence, they begin to reconnect.
