Amy Gumenick

Swedish-born Amy Gumenick is an actress who has worked in film, television and theatre. Though she was born in Hudiksvall, Sweden, Gumenick attended the University of Santa Barbara, where she performed in many plays-- including "Peter Pan," "Tomorrowland," and "Plumfield, Iraq"--and graduated with honors. Her film debut was in "Sayonara Elviko," following a couple of hapless record label interns inadvertently discovering a conspiracy involving the Beatles. She then had a role in the drama "Army Wives" and was a series regular on the Christian Slater small-screen thriller "My Own Worst Enemy." After appearing in the CBS hit "How I Met Your Mother," she had a recurring role on the ABC Family sorority comedy drama "Greek." Gumenick appeared in the hit ABC medical drama "Grey's Anatomy," about a team of surgeons in a Seattle hospital, as well as the crime dramas "The Ghost Whisperer," starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as an investigator able to communicate with ghosts, and "Bones," starring Emily Deschanel as a forensic specialist working with the FBI to solve a series of homicide cases. On the paranormal drama "Supernatural," Gumenick had multiple appearances playing the younger version of the mother of the two protagonists, a demon-hunting duo of brothers. She can also be seen in episodes of "Castle," starring Nathan Fillion, and the NBC fantasy series Grimm."
