Brigitte Hobmeier

After appearing in a number of movies both made-for-television and theatrically-released, Brigitte Hobmeier landed a part in the 2009 family film "Die Perlmutterfarbe," which was well-received in its native Germany. This was followed shortly after by "Delivering Hope," starring Hobmeier as a village midwife who takes on big-city medical procedures (one of her best-known roles to date). She appeared in more movies during the early 2010s, including "Ende der Schonzeit" as Emma, a farmer's wife who, along with her husband, helps hide a Jew from Nazi forces. Although Hobmeier guest-starred in few television series through the first half of the 2010s, an exception was the police procedural "Tatort."
