George K. Arthur

British-born George K Arthur was a beloved actor, well-known for his memorable performances on the Hollywood movie screen. K Arthur kickstarted his acting career in various films such as the anthology "Hollywood" (1923) with Hope Drown, "Madness of Youth" (1923) and "Flames of Desire" (1924). He also appeared in "The Boob" (1926), "The Waning Sex" (1926) and "Spring Fever" (1927) with William Haines. He kept working in film throughout the twenties, starring in "The Student Prince in Old Heidelberg" (1927) with Ramon Novarro, "Brotherly Love" (1928) and the comedy "Show People" (1928) with Marion Davies. He also appeared in the musical comedy "The Hollywood Revue of 1929" (1929) with Conrad Nagel and "The Last of Mrs. Cheyney" (1929). Film continued to be his passion as he played roles in "Oliver Twist" (1933), the drama "Riptide" (1934) with Norma Shearer and the Helen Hayes romance "Vanessa, Her Love Story" (1935). K Arthur was most recently credited in "That's Entertainment! III" (1994) with June Allyson. In addition to his acting, K Arthur also produced "The Stranger Left No Card" (1952). K Arthur passed away in May 1985 at the age of 86.
