Odessa A'zion

Odessa Adlon was an American actress who broke out in early 2019 when she joined the cast of the CBS comedy "Fam" (CBS, 2019-). Born and raised in Los Angeles, Adlon grew up in a show business family. Her mother was actress Pamela Adlon, who was best known for her roles on "Californication" (Showtime, 2007-2014) and "Louie" (FX, 2010-15), so becoming a professional actress never seemed impossible for the young Odessa. She nabbed her first film role at the age of 12 in the 2011 comedy "Conception," which starred her mother Pamela. Adlon's role in that film may have been small, but it was enough for her to be bitten by the acting bug. It would be another five years, however, for her next major acting job. That part was on the FX comedy drama "Better Things" (FX, 2016-), which was co-created by her mother, along with comedian Louis C.K. Odessa Adlon's breakout role came the following year in 2017 when she nabbed a recurring part as Liv on the dramatic music series "Nashville" (ABC/CMT, 2012-18). She played the character Liv on five episodes of the series. After her role on "Nashville" ended, Adlon continued working steadily with appearances in "What About Barb?" (2017) and "Ladyworld" (2018) amongst other roles. Then in 2019 Adlon had a breakout year. In addition to appearing in two episodes of the YouTube Premium series "Wayne" (YouTube Premium, 2019-), she also joined the cast of the CBS comedy "Fam." "Fam" starred Nina Dobrev as a young woman who moves in with her half-sister and her fiancé. The series premiered on CBS in early January of 2019.
