Razaaq Adoti

A versatile English actor who has worked with legendary filmmakers such as Steven Spielberg and Ridley Scott, Razaaq Adoti has also appeared in numerous explosive actioners and crime films. Adoti made his screen debut in 1991, with a guest spot on the family dramedy series "Press Gang"; he then focused on theatre for the next several years, and by 1995, he was back on television again with a recurring role on the military drama program "Soldier Soldier." Continuing to work in TV over the next two years, Adoti was then cast in Spielberg's "Amistad," receiving the role that would launch his film career. After acting alongside revered veterans Morgan Freeman and Anthony Hopkins in the historical epic, supporting parts in movies began coming Adoti's way regularly, and as the 2000s dawned, he acted in the English mobster movie "Gangster No. 1" and Scott's war drama "Black Hawk Down." Following his appearances in the back-to-back video game adaptations "Resident Evil: Apocalypse" and "Doom" in 2004 and 2005 respectively, Adoti co-starred in the 2007 thriller "Cover" with Vivica A. Fox. Opting for a change of pace in the 2010s, he then acted in the offbeat comedy drama "Barry Munday" before becoming a filmmaker himself, scripting, directing, producing, and starring in the 2011 crime parody "CIS: Las Gidi." His 2011 credits also include a role in the politically-charged drama "Black Gold."
