Sofia Black-D'Elia

From the age of five, Sofia Black-D'Elia heard the calling to perform. Her parents encouraged their daughter's dreams and signed her up for acting and dance classes with Broadway Bound Players, a theater-driven community for young people that nurtures their creativity and discipline, while building their self-esteem, self-respect, and self-confidence, both on stage and off. A dozen years later, Black-D'Elia booked her first professional job as the recurring character Bailey on ABC's daytime soap opera "All My Children" (ABC 1970-2011). That was the exposure needed to take her from one acting job to another. Roles as a teen lesbian in the teen drama "Skins" (MTV 2011) followed by that of the caring but manipulative Sage Spence on The CW's "Gossip Girl" (CW 2007-2012) the 1920s-set Marion Cotillard film "The Immigrant" (2013), the action thriller "Born Of War" (2014), the Michael Bay-produced time traveling science fiction "Project Almanac" (2015) and as a young mother desperate to protect her daughter from an abusive father figure in the supernatural series, "The Messengers" (Fox 2015). Black-D'Elia next appeared in the historical drama "Ben-Hur" (2016) and the sitcom "The Mick" (Fox 2017-) with Kaitlin Olson.
