In the series premiere, America's toughest trainer, Jillian Michaels, reveals a side of her you never knew- devoted mother, supportive partner, and comedy chops. Jillian travels to the U.K. for work, causing strain on her home life, and upon returning to Los Angeles, Jillian is pressured by her friends to marry her long-term partner.

Jillian goes to NYC to rectify a business deal gone wrong; a family emergency distracts Jillian's focus from work obligations; Jillian realizes that her assistant may be out of her league.

Jillian invests time and money into a possible protégé; her business partner looks to expand her brand outside of fitness; Jillian's son has to have a tonsillectomy, she has a hard time finding balance between the role of mother, and provider.
