National security agent Ma Shang (Zhang Bin Bin) is dispatched by his commanding officers to hunt down a spy. That spy later turns out to be part of a large network of malicious actors who are systematically stealing highly confidential and valuable research data compiled by a firm named the Huading Group. His mission takes him to Hunan Province, and a town where he must team up with the local police force to help continue the investigation. But, to his surprise, that police unit is led by An Jing (Yang Mi), his former high school classmate. The duo must put their past behind them and pool their respective wits to foil the spy ring.
