Erik and his old colleague find a hidden weapon; Peter's daughter disappears in kindergarten; during Peter's daughter's birthday party, Peter threatens to shoot Erik.

Richardson gets a breakthrough in the investigation, but is prevented from telling Erik about it; Paul shows up at Erik's and threatens him.

Erik now knows who murdered Therese; eventually he provokes a confession from the murderer at the inn.
