Curtie Church (Djimon Hounsou Blood Diamond) is a soldier of fortune. He has witnessed and participated in unspeakable horrors, and never questioned them. For years these came from government agencies. Now they come from anyone who can pay Church's price. His current "commander" is a wealthy Thai businessman. His orders - exact revenge on the gang that abducted his daughter, addicted her to drugs and forced her into a life of prostitution. Unable to access all the equipment he needs, Church turns to onetime acquaintance Jimmy the Brit (Kevin Bacon Death Sentence), who runs an upscale gentleman's club... among several other ventures including illicit arms trading. As he begins his assignment, Church becomes aware that all he has been told may not be what it seems, and he's actually been set up to be the catalyst in a major gang war. But for Church he's still getting rid of vermin who cause nothing but pain and suffering and he's getting well paid for it. The very same vermin that has afflicted hardship and pain on the young street girl Mae who, seemingly from nowhere, has attached herself to him. But with gangs closing in and Jimmy's allegiance coming into question, Church has a decision to make. Flight or fight.
