Born in France, Denis Ménochet made his on-screen debut on a 2003 episode of the US/Canadian action series "Adventure, Inc" (Syndicated, 2002-03). Over the next few years, Ménochet appeared in supporting roles in a number of French films, both feature length and short, before landing another small role in "Hannibal Rising" (2007), a prequel showing the origin of the young Hannibal Lecter. In 2009, he gained international exposure when he had a featured role in Quentin Tarantino's "Inglourious Basterds" (2009). Ménochet played Perrier LaPaditte, the French father who tries to keep a secret from the German Jew hunter Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Ménochet also appeared in the big budget "Robin Hood" (2010) starring Russell Crowe, but continued to appear mostly in French language films including "Grand Central" (2013). In 2015, Ménochet debuted in his first series regular role, as the black sheep who drags his crime scene cleaning brother into a slew of mafia problems, on the French-British show "Spotless" (Canal+, 2015-).
