The top 24 contestants enter the kitchen for their first mystery box challenge to create a dish with ingredients chosen by 2015 MasterChef Australia winner, Billie McKay.

The contestants are split into two teams for a service challenge. Each team must cook a three-course meal for 30 people, replicating dishes from two celebrated Melbourne restaurants.

Contestants are put in teams for the Gourmet Cinema challenge. They must cater for 165 cinemagoers at a very special cinema event - the screening of MasterChef Australia's Greatest Hits.

The top four contestants cook-off for immunity. The winner must then try and out-cook guest chef Victor Liong from Lee Ho Fook.

The bottom three contestants face-off in the elimination pressure test. They must recreate two of guest chef Ross Lusted's signature dishes in two hours.

The three contestants with the least impressive dishes from the invention test face off in the pressure test. The contestant with the least impressive dish will be going home.
