Conrad receives a long-awaited call when a heart becomes available for a patient in desperate need of a transplant, but when the plans are derailed, Conrad risks everything to make matters right.

A blackout forces the staff to treat their patients without the aid of technology; Conrad and Devon go against Bell's order to stop accepting new patients; Austin and Mina need to perform heart surgery.

A stampede at a music festival sees Chastain flooded with injured concertgoers; Bell causes trouble when the hospital's orthopaedic surgeon demands a better resident.

Rather than the hospital's usual products, Bell decides to use a new medical device company; AJ and Kit try to stop their feuding; Nic and Conrad discover a child's cancer has returned and try to make the kid's dreams come true.

Conrad and Nic diagnose a happy married couple who present at hospital with mysterious symptoms; despite Mina's forewarning, AJ turns down a request from Bell; Marshall and Bell butt heads on a work trip.
