How a seemingly normal, harmless prince turned into a ruthless tyrant, who had spouses murdered and fundamentally changed Britain.

Henry's obsession with marrying Anne Boleyn results in a cataclysmic and hugely unpopular split with the Roman Catholic Church. Soon his relationship with Anne turns from infatuation to deadly hatred.

Henry's later years bring further tyranny, death and destruction. He is also afflicted by an agonising ulcer on his leg.
