Hollands Hoop

Forensic psychiatrist Fokke Augustinus loses his job and his father. He takes his family to the countryside in Groningen and finds an enormous marijuana plantation hidden among the crops on his father's land.

Fokke and his son Pepijn get tangled up with members of the criminal organisation behind the marijuana plantation on their farm after a fatal accident. Fokke tries to negotiate to save lives, while one of his former patients tries to track him down.

Machteld does her best to adapt to country life as everyone settles in. Fokke begins to think that leaving his problems behind was the best decision he's made in ages, and he becomes preoccupied with his new role.

Machteld and Fokke appear to have reinvented their love-life. Machteld's claim regarding the attic makes Lara angry and Pepijn skips school. Fokke considers how he'll hide the operation as Matthias advises that the weed is dry enough.

Machteld gets closer to councilwoman Anna Bullema as distrust within the family increases. Fokke suspects the councilwoman is up to something and Pepijn asks Bert for help.

Sasa and Fokke halt their cooperation, Machteld enlists Anna's help in finding out the truth Fokke won't reveal, while Pepijn discovers a new side of Bert and finds his grandfather's hidden money.
