Bell Cranel dreams of being a hero, but the exact opposite happens when he enters the Dungeon. He is almost killed by a Minotaur and must be rescued by high-level adventurer Ais Wallenstein. He may be humiliated, but he also falls in love.

With the albino gorilla monster in pursuit, Bell starts to question if he is strong enough to defeat it. Hestia catches up to Bell and gives him the living enchanted weapon she has named the Hestia Knife.

Bell's Guild Adviser Eina recommends that he purchase better armour and find a Supporter, but when one appears, she is a bit more than she seems.
