On Mother's Day, the community of Complexo do Alemão, in the north of Rio de Janeiro, is shaken by a police raid pursuing a young man involved in drug trafficking who recently shot and killed a police officer.

Edna reveals to Digão that she saw the video and wants to understand what happened. But Digão, still shaken, lies and says it was Sergeant Lopes who fired the shot.
