When Professor Hwang disappears, there isn't any way left to defrost Dong-chan and Mi-ran. Twenty years later, a malfunction in the machine results in Dong-chan and Mi-ran waking up.

Dong-chang and Mi-ran reunite with their family members after two decades. The fact that they are in 2019 shocks Dong-chang and Mi-ran and they struggle to adapt to the changes in the world.

Mi-ran demands a huge amount from the broadcasting station as compensation for losing 20 years of her life; an article about Dong-chang is published and the employees at the station begin to gossip about him.

Mi-ran accepts Dong-chan's offer to work as an intern at the broadcasting station; two thugs follow and threaten Dong-chang.

When Dong-chang reveals he volunteered for the cryonics experiment on a news channel, he becomes popular across the town; Byung-sim confronts Mi-ran about his feelings.
