As racial tensions simmer inside the prison and Veronica digs into Lincoln's case, Michael tries to get a drug that will help him test positive for diabetes, and to secure a large bolt he can use in his escape plan.

Lincoln and LJ are liberated by some mysterious rescuers, Sara and Michael are finally reunited, and T-Bag tries his best to keep the location of the money a secret from Bellick and Geary.

Michael obtains some caustic chemicals to use in his escape plan, while his psychotic new cellmate Haywire develops an uncomfortable fascination with his tattoos. Unaware that she is being monitored by shady Secret Service agents, Veronica enlists further legal help in her investigation.

Melinda becomes friends with Eli when she realises that he also has the ability to speak with the dead.

While facing dramatic personal changes, Melinda struggles to help a desperate teenage ghost, feeling her gift of being able to talk to the dead is no longer helpful.
