Shawn Pyfrom

Born in Tampa, FL, Pyfrom was introduced to acting at age four by his parents. He soon landed his first performing jobs in one of the Walt Disney Company's "Sing Me a Story" interactive direct-to-video features, followed by a role on the syndicated children's series, "The Reppies" (Trinity Broadcasting Network, 1996). Guest appearances on numerous network series soon followed, including "The Drew Carey Show" (ABC, 1995-2004), "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (WB, 1997-2003), and the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon" (1998). Pyfrom also appeared as two well known TV stars in small screen biopics; first as a young Michael Landon in "Michael Landon, the Father I Knew" (1999), followed by a young Danny Bonaduce in "Come On, Get Happy: The Partridge Family Story" (1999). In 2000 he landed several television roles, most notably as a boy afflicted by Tourette's Syndrome on "7th Heaven" (WB, 1996-2006), and as a young man experiencing his bar mitzvah in an Emmy-nominated episode of "Touched By an Angel" (CBS, 1994-2003), in which he costarred alongside screen legend, Kirk Douglas. That year, he also made his feature film debut in two productions - the Canadian film "A Day in the Life," and the less-than-spectacular, "Pay It Forward," starring Kevin Spacey and Helen Hunt. In 2001, Pyfrom began lending his voice to the Disney Channel series "Stanley (2001-02), and appeared in his third feature, "Max Keeble's Big Move."Roles on "Malcolm in the Middle" (Fox, 2000-06), "Oliver Beene" (Fox, 2003-04), and "Drake and Josh" (Nickelodeon, 2004-07), among numerous other shows, followed before Pyfrom was tapped to make guest appearances as Andrew Van de Kamp, son of Marcia Cross's Bree on "Desperate Housewives." His performance as the blackmailing, duplicitous, and sexual experimental Andrew earned him series regular status and an expanded role by the time the TV phenomenon returned for its second season in 2005. The following year, Pyfrom was seen in Disney's remake of "The Shaggy Dog" (2006) opposite Tim Allen, and completed an independent thriller, "The Darkroom."Pyfrom was nominated four times for a Young Artist Award, which he won in 2002 for his appearance on the series "Reba" (WB, 2001-06).
