The appearance of the support vessel raises the team's hopes of escape, leaving Rose to work around the clock to discover the scientific nature of the mysterious ash.

With Baz missing and deemed dangerous, the team split into groups to find him. Rose makes a shocking discovery, and the hunt gets even scarier and more mysterious when the crew is hit with power outages and paranoia.

Baz and Garrow come closer to understanding their mission when they explore the bomb's control room and realise they need Fulmer to help them, with painful consequences as he struggles to maintain control of his sanity.

The presence of new arrivals aboard Kinloch Charlie is felt immediately. Pictor boss Coake enlists a group to undermine Magnus' power and force his way into control of the bomb.

Coake is pressured to explain Pictor's plan and the real reason for his mission; Rose and Fulmer discover the terrible meaning of the coded messages; Magnus battles his own demons in a final bid for survival.
