After a big fight with her sister, a distressed Alma gets in a car accident and narrowly escapes with her life. She then sees something mysterious.

After the car accident, Alma is in hospital recovering from her traumatic experience. While there, she talks with her dead father, who confronts her with an unexpected request.

Alma starts her training with her dad, and she tries to get a grip on her new family. She decides it is time to begin her investigation into his murder.

Alma progresses through training with her dad, and continues to uncover information about his death. After noticing her change in behaviour and becoming concerned, Alma's mum urges her to go to therapy.

Alma realises that Sam has been lying to her, and they get into a fight; Alma bounces between different timelines in her life, Sam's life and their relationship.

Camila helps out at the church, and she accompanies Becca on a food tasting with Reed's family. Meanwhile, Sam and Alma head off to solve a mystery together.
