S1, E3: To become number one, Guga needs to win the Lisbon Masters Cup 1000. He plays the first game while still recovering from an injury. Although he wins the first set, Agassi recovers and Guga ends up losing that game. Even though he played well, an injury slowed him down considerably. Thanks to a conversation with his mother, he finds the strength no to give up, and continues playing the tournament. He wins the following games against Norman, Kafelnikov and Sampras, reaching the final. Again, he faces Agassi, a difficult opponent. Remembering his father Aldo and the trust he had in him, Guga plays one of his best matches and beats Agassi, finally achieving the goal of becoming number one.
