Carter Hudson

At home both on stage and on screen, Carter Hudson's path to success as an actor led him to many different places. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Hudson later moved to Texas, where he attended Collin College to study acting. Eventually, he was able to transfer to New York's SUNY Purchase, where he enrolled in the school's prestigious Conservatory of Theatre Arts. After graduating in 2009, Hudson quickly became a working actor, appearing in plays all over the country, from a 2009 staging of "Honus and Me" at Pennsylvania's Mountain Playhouse, to a production of "The Chosen" at the Portland Center Stage in Portland, Oregon in 2010. Meanwhile, Hudson made a break into voice acting, providing the voices of the "local population" in the video game "Red Dead Redemption." He would eventually become focused on the New York theater scene, co-founding the Glass Bandits Theater Company, and co-starring in a number of acclaimed off-Broadway plays, including a 2014 production of "The Substance of Fire" at 2econd Stage Theater and an even more critically lauded turn in "The Effect" at the Barrow Street Theatre in 2016. Hudson also began making forays into screen acting, appearing in an episode of "A Crime to Remember" (Investigation Discovery, 2013-) and landing the starring role in the pilot for John Singleton's crime drama "Snowfall" (2017).
