S3, E2: Back from his world travels, Bryan Beasley asks Abby to help him and new fiancée, Michelle, with a prenup. She is about to come into a large inheritance, and he wants Michelle to know he is marrying her purely for love. Nina’s apprehensions about her dad’s whirlwind romance turn to alarm when they ditch the prenup, get married — and Michelle disappears with Bryan and Nina’s money. Daniel asks newly minted Judge Chip Crombie to annul Bryan’s marriage based on fraud, but Chip, holding a grudge against Harry and Abby, denies the petition. Abby consults Ben Cohen — an irritatingly smug (and attractive) criminal prosecutor — and realizes she will have to get creative to stop Michelle. Meanwhile, Daniel attempts to distance himself from Martina, but can’t resist her boyfriend Quinn’s invitation to join him for a beer, and Lucy’s friendship with Kelly blossoms into romance.
