MS MR - Live at Hype Machine's Hype Hotel

Before the release of their first EP back in September 2011, little was known about MS MR other than the fact that the band features Lizzy Plapinger as the MS with Max Hershenow as the MR. Now the formerly Tumblr-obsessed duo has released their proper debut, Secondhand Rapture, a collection of powerful, experimental-pop songs. MS MR and their backing band took the stage at Hype Hotel in Austin for an enthralling live performance of their triumphant new album. Plapinger truly commands the attention of the crowd, performing with brooding intensity despite her pleasant stage presence.
