"Winona (Toni Gonzaga) lives with her blind father Raul (Dennis Padilla) in a neighborhood of apartment dwellers managed by her childhood friend Bong (Vhong Navarro). Bong secretly loves Winona, who is blind to Bong’s unexpressed feelings. Because all of Winona’s relatives on her mother’s side died young, Winona feels that she too, will have the same fate so she avoids having any relationships. Bong tries to prolong Winona’s life especially when he learns from a medical test that she has lupus. He prevents her from going to Japan where he cannot protect her. Just when they both have revealed their feelings and begun to dream of a future together, Bong suddenly becomes terminally ill while Winona finds out that her medical test is a blunder."
