Freddie Fox was born into a renowned British acting family; related thespians include his father, James Fox, and mother, Joanna David, as well as his sister, Emilia Fox, and his uncle James Fox. Starting out primarily in English TV movies, Fox had a notable supporting part in the crime series "The Shadow Line" and portrayed King Louis XIII in Paul W.S. Anderson's 2011 adaptation of "The Three Musketeers." In 2012, Fox played the title character in the two-part TV drama "The Mystery of Edwin Drood" and was featured in the high-profile war miniseries "Parade's End," starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Rebecca Hall.
