Thomas Kretschmann
Thomas Kretschmann is an actor who has a successful Hollywood career. He began his acting career on stage in Germany in the late 1980s after training to be an Olympic swimmer. In 1991, he made his film debut in Der Mitwisser, which earned him Germany's prestigious Max Ophüls Prize as Best Up-and-Coming Actor. Early on in his acting career, Kretschmann landed roles in various films, including "Shining Through" (1992) with Michael Douglas, "Queen Margot" (1994) and "Femmes" (1995). He also appeared in "Stalingrad" (1995), the Raoul Bova thriller "Killer Couple" (1998) and "Immortal Ad Vitam" (2004). He continued to act in productions like the fantasy "Living in Neon Dreams" (2005) with A.J. Cook, "Schneeland" (2005) and "The Filthy War" (2006). He also appeared in "In Transit" (2009). Recently, he tackled roles in the Til Schweiger foreign sequel "Zweiohrküken" (2009), the Emily Blunt historical love story "The Young Victoria" (2009) and "Eichmann" (2010). He also appeared in "Dschungelkind" (2011) and "The Big Bang" (2011). Most recently, Kretschmann acted in the Dominic Cooper suspenseful adaptation "Stratton" (2017).
