Amanda & Alan's Spanish Job

Hoping to breathe new life into one of the region's forgotten villages, Amanda takes a gamble on a run-down three-storey townhouse and convinces Alan to join her in a lifelong dream of transforming it into a boutique B&B.

Amanda and Alan embark on their first room design as they renovate an open plan dining room and foyer; Alan's dreams of a reception area to receive their guests are quashed when Amanda suggests his special space should be a cupboard under the stairs.

Amanda and Alan brace themselves to tackle the kitchen; with a love for eating and entertaining, it is crucial to the project that they get this social space perfect as they aim to push the boat out with a typical Spanish design.

With two interlinked rooms to tackle, Amanda steers the ship in the bedroom whilst Alan takes charge in the adjoining lounge, but creative tensions arise when Amanda wants to get rid of Alan's favourite curved arch which links the spaces together.

The best friends divide and conquer as Amanda transforms the second guest bedroom into a wallpapered spectacle; Alan goes tile-crazy with a hammam-inspired bathroom.

Besties Amanda Holden and Alan Carr say "Hola España!" as they bring some much-needed TLC to a crumbling casa in southern Spain; it is scaffolding by day, and sangria by night.
