In 2005, a solar flare makes its way to Earth, but a planetary defense shield known as the Grid protects the world; in 2021, while working on the Grid a Bureau worker sees a murder.

The Bureau focuses on a sentence in Sae Byeok's report; Sae Byeok receives the DNA analysis report on the woman who disappeared.

Sae Byeok and Sae Ha steal the classified files on the woman and learn about a terrible incident that took place in the same year the Grid was conceived.

The woman attacks special agents; Sae Byeok continues to investigate despite the Bureau issuing orders to cease; Sae Byeok receives a visitor.

The Bureau issues an APB on Manok while intentionally spreading misinformation about the Grid; with the biggest bounty ever arranged on any individual, Saebyeok worries that civilians may get hurt in the hunt for fugitives.

Saebyeok successfully captures Manok but loses him to the Bureau; the Deputy Director himself takes Manok, claiming that a local police department will not be able to respond properly even if the woman appears again to rescue Manok.
