This show follows the story of the Mexican singer Lupita D Alessio, whose talent served as a beacon for the feminist movement of the '70s. She wrote lyrics that gave women the bravery they need to rebel against a sexist society.

As a teenager, Lupita realizes her destiny is to become a singer. Her father gets her a job in the bar El Farolito, where a talent-hunter discovers her and invites her to record her first single.

Cesarín finds his mother barely alive after an overdose; Lupita meets and starts a relationship with José Vargas, despite her parent's disapproval.

Cesarín finds his mother on the floor, with a weak pulse, so he calls Toño to help her; Lupita remembers her wedding to José Vargas, and the pain of her son's death drives her insane.

While she recovers in the hospital, everyone talks to Lupita about God, but she is not willing to give up drugs; Lupita relives her first son's funeral; Lupita receives an invitation to the OTI Festival, which arouses the envy of José.

After having a fight with her son Ernesto, Lupita asks for Raymunda's help to rent a room and continue using drugs. In 1978, Lupita wins the OTI Festival.
