This adaptation of the Colombian literary classic follows a wealthy young woman and an idealist poet, two rebellious lovers who flee from the rules of the 20th century into a jungle promising freedom, unaware that an even crueler law reigns there.

Alicia runs away with the poet Arturo to avoid her arranged marriage, but a pregnancy and a greedy merchant threaten their freedom.

While Barrera carries out his evil plan, Arturo is consumed by jealousy, and Clemente embarks on a relentless search for his son.

The Devil's Dice
Arturo arrives at landowner Zubieta's ranch in search of Barrera, while Griselda tries to convince Alicia to flee La Maporita ranch.

Hell
Arturo learns that Alicia and Griselda have left with Barrera. Later, Zubieta meets a fatal end, and Barrera loses his right-hand man.
