Oda Nobunaga saves a girl from drowning one day. She clumsily tells him that she's a shinobi. Instead of attempting to kill him, she swears to serve him one day after hearing his plans to unify Japan.

Chidori's master receives a request from Nobunaga to send a ninja to work for him and he sends her.

Hideyoshi comes before Oda at her castle and continues bugging her to teach him ninja skills.

Nobunaga's first mission for Chidori is to find out about Imagawa Yoshimoto's plans to invade Owari and she does it successfully.

Chidori and Sukezo visit an ill Hideyoshi and while they're there they meet his friend, Nene, who secretly has feelings for him.

Imagawa Yoshimoto begins his invasion of Owari and Nobunaga's army panics, but Nobunaga is very tranquil for some reason.
