A couple resort to crime to keep up their affluent lifestyle when the husband is sacked from his highly paid job. After he's fired, they find that they are no longer able to afford all the trappings of their prosperous existence, which include a dog, a maid, and a large new house. The struggle to make ends meet leads them to armed robbery.
