The story of a Native American princess and her ill-fated love for an English sea captain as told by Disney. Set in 1607, it tells of the daughter of Chief Powhatan who speaks to her forest friends for advice. Her life changes when she meets John Smith, one of a party of sailors which has come to the New World searching for gold. Pocahontas teaches him the true value of life and how every rock and creature has a living spirit.
